About
Sarah Beaman
Sarah has been a self-employed consultant for over 20 years, working across strategy, business improvement and economic development. Prior to that she managed UniSports high performance sport centre, worked in a regional sports trust, and had roles in fast moving consumer goods and health.
Sarah has consulting experience across a range of industries, including state services, local government, sport & recreation, health and corporate business. She has a focus on strategic review and improvement services, typically working in a review and advisory capacity with senior leaders and Boards. Her strengths lie as a strategic thinker, evaluating strengths and opportunities for improvement, and developing clear and measurable strategic approaches.
Sarah has designed and delivered training across all facets of performance excellence and has been a judge for national awards processes across multiple sectors. She has held a range of Directorships in the not-for-profit sector and with SMEs, including as Chair of Recreation Aotearoa, Board intern of Regional Facilities Auckland, board member of NZ Business Excellence Foundation and most recently Director of New Zealand Cricket.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Management and Organisational Studies from Auckland University, is an Accredited Economic Developer (AcED), an Accredited Recreation Professional (ARPro), an Associate Fellow (AFNZBEF) with the NZ Business Excellence Foundation and holds a Certificate in Company Direction.
